Geographic Information System or GIS is an organized collection of computer hardware, software, and geographic data that is designed to capture, store, update, manipulate, and display geographically referenced information.

The Lab is located in Ely Hall 114.

13 IBM Intellistation M Pro computers

Scanner

Trimble TSC1 GPS unit

Color Inkjet printer and Laser printer

Computer projection with large screen

Access to large format color printer

Mobile lab includes 10 HP/Compaq Tablet PCs with ArcGIS 9.2 and USB connected GPS receivers by Rayming
